Why I Hate Statistics and Marketing People Who Use Them

A little quote from an article I just read:

Over the next 5 years, Linux is expected to be the fastest growing Smartphone OS with a compound annual growth rate in excess of 75%.

Oh yeah… "growth rates"; usually don't really mean anything if not compared to the actual numbers!!!

If I was to make a phone that runs on horseshit and positiv thinking, wait 2 months and then make another one: BOOM! 100% growth rate!

It's not that hard to grow that much for Linux powered smartphones because there are about 10 on the market today (And I don't know that for a fact!).
