My CSM study WS09/10
24.Jun 2009 - 05:53 | Tags: hdm, csm, my lifeOk, seeing as the new “these are the lectures that will be available” PDF file just got released, I have already started planning:
| Lecture | ECTS | Prof |
| Agiles Projektmanagement und Coaching | 9 | Kretzschmar |
| Verteilte Architekturen und Middleware | 3 | Kriha |
| System Engineering und Management | 3 | Kriha |
| Spezielle Themen mobiler Kommunikationssysteme | 3 | Maucher |
| Mediensicherheit und Digital Rights Management | 6 | Schmitz |
==> 25 ECTS (should in theory be enough. I think I only need 23)

Dreamhost's laughable excuse for system administration
07.Apr 2009 - 18:31 | Tags: my life, nerdstuff, dreamhost, things that suck, rantI recently had some problems with my backup user’s account (Dreamhost actually gives you 50GB of personal backup space). But this answer pretty much makes me want to leave… sadly, I don’t think Dreamhost will give me a partial refund for the money already paid.
Just read the following Answer I got from the Dreamhost support:
Sorry about the continued inconvenience the backup issues are causing.
The problem is that the volume of the backup server where your user
stores its data is currently full. Our admins are working on distributing
the users and adding more space, but the very rough estimate I received
is that this won’t most likely be done until the end of next week. There
is also some user misconfiguration issues going on, so that would explain
why you can’t delete the files. Sorry about that.
Daimler Blog: now with yours truly
27.Mar 2009 - 14:21 | Tags: my life, blog, daimlerOk, das sind dann wohl meine “5 minutes of internet fame”: http://blog.daimler.de/2009/03/23/sind-sie-alle-so-ich-glaube-schon/
Zu meiner Verteidigung:
Ich habe das “Sind die alle so? – Ich glaube schon” im Satz danach relativiert…

Can I has podcast? Apparently yes :)
26.Feb 2009 - 19:01 | Tags: my life, nerdstuff, podcast, android, radio tuxThis one is in german:

eXpansys: Get your sh*t together!
17.Feb 2009 - 06:28 | Tags: my life, rant, expansys, sony, prs 505, ebookJust a short rant:
A few days ago, eXpansys UK offered a refurbished version of the Sony PRS 505 for approx. 150 euros

Seeing as this was a nice deal and I happened to be fast enough to actually buy while they still had them in stock, I was pretty happy with my decision to buy one.
To my bad luck, eXpansys seems to have a REALLY crappy online-shop system.
A few days after my purchase ( the system doesn’t seem to be fully automated…), I had this on my Order Tracking page:
Aparrently you simply can’t order things from the UK site and have them send to Germany. There are parts of the Euro Zone this would have worked.
I could have even gotten it send to the Canary Island, but Germany was a problem. I would actually have had to call the German part of the company (expansys.de) and tell them the item I wanted to order the reader (which doesn’t appear on the german website as it’s not available in germany jus yet).
The system didn’t really care all that much and simply held my order back for a few days. It also didn’t bother to actually mark one of the readers as “ordered” but simply let all of the other ones sell out.
—> While the guy on the phone was pretty nice, it turns out that this all results to a “oh yeah, we don’t have any of those in stock anymore… I’ll just cancel your order kthxbye”
celebrity stalking in reverse
15.Feb 2009 - 16:07 | Tags: lol, my life, nerdstuff, snl, tina fey, twitterOver the last few days, I was kinda creeped out by how many people started following me on twitter.
Here’s a short graph displaying the amount of me being creeped out (thanks to twittercounter.com btw for graphing that kind of stuff).

I usually get 1-2 new followers per month and I usually just check if they’re bots/following 20000000 other people and block them in case they are.
Over the last few days I received 5-6 new followers per DAY. While I was pretty puzzled about the fact that random strange people started following me, I had the great idea to ask the twitter crowd itself. Here are the answers:

While I’m sure “those photos” could have something to do with it, robartaw99’s answer seems a bit more likely
Tina Fey is following me!

I’m the icon directly under Obama. While I think this means I now have got political power, I am still a little bit unclear about how I got the attention of Tina Fey ó_Ã’
p.s. for the people how don’t know Tina Fey:
She’s an actress on the US comedy show Saturday Night Live and really got attention when she impersonated Sarah Palin
