Elegant Code Podcast
Yay, I found a podcast which was previously unkonwn to me:
Here are some of the last titles to give you a short idea:
Code Cast 24 â€" Matt Podwysocki on Functional Programming
Code Cast 23 â€" Jeremy Miller on StructureMap
Code Cast 22 â€" Distributed Agile
Code Cast 20 – Matt Heusser on Agile Testing
Code Cast 19 â€" Peter Provost on Agile, Visual Studio 2010, and Architecture Tools
Can I Has Podcast? Apparently Yes :)

eXpansys: Get Your Sh*t Together!
Just a short rant:
A few days ago, eXpansys UK offered a refurbished version of the Sony PRS 505 for approx. 150 euros
Seeing as this was a nice deal and I happened to be fast enough to actually buy while they still had them in stock, I was pretty happy with my decision to buy one.
To my bad luck, eXpansys seems to have a REALLY crappy online-shop system.
A few days after my purchase ( the system doesn't seem to be fully automated…), I had this on my Order Tracking page:
Aparrently you simply can't order things from the UK site and have them send to Germany. There are parts of the Euro Zone this would have worked.
I could have even gotten it send to the Canary Island, but Germany was a problem. I would actually have had to call the German part of the company (expansys.de) and tell them the item I wanted to order the reader (which doesn't appear on the german website as it's not available in germany jus yet).
The system didn't really care all that much and simply held my order back for a few days. It also didn't bother to actually mark one of the readers as "ordered"; but simply let all of the other ones sell out.
—> While the guy on the phone was pretty nice, it turns out that this all results to a "oh yeah, we don't have any of those in stock anymore… I'll just cancel your order kthxbye";

Dell WWAN 5520, Windows 7 and HSDPA
A word of advice from Jim B. in the comments:
It's worth noting that some of these cards are EU850D, EU860D, and EU870D.. Possibly even others. If you flash with the wrong firmware, it will make it inoperable.
It worked for me, but chances are it won't work for you and your card will be dead after flashing!
If you happen to own the Dell WWAN 5520 (aka: "Novatel Expedite EU870D\") and want to install it in Windows 7, you simply have to extract the drivers from the MSI package.
- Download the drivers
- start the setup file
- Go to temp
- Open the strange folder that was created (something along the lines of {32423-324235423-5234534634}
- Extract the MSI file using the commandline: msiexec /a MyMSIFile.msi /qb TARGETDIR=DirectoryToExtractTo
- You should now find the drivers in your target directory in \program files\Dell\Dell Mobile Broadband\Drivers\
- You can now install these drivers using the the device manager
To upgrade your cards firmware and flash hsdpa capability, download the firmware update from here
Start the update as administrator (that’s what I did…) and click a few times "next\". If you’re lucky and nothing went wrong, you should see this screen:
And be able to surf with 7,2 MBit/s :)
p.s. you’re doing this on your own risk! flashing a devices firmware always leads to the possiblity of turning the device in a worthless piece of metal!
Celebrity Stalking in Reverse
Over the last few days, I was kinda creeped out by how many people started following me on twitter.
Here's a short graph displaying the amount of me being creeped out (thanks to twittercounter.com btw for graphing that kind of stuff).
I usually get 1-2 new followers per month and I usually just check if they're bots/following 20000000 other people and block them in case they are.
Over the last few days I received 5-6 new followers per DAY. While I was pretty puzzled about the fact that random strange people started following me, I had the great idea to ask the twitter crowd itself. Here are the answers:
While I'm sure "those photos"; could have something to do with it, robartaw99's answer seems a bit more likely
Tina Fey is following me!
I'm the icon directly under Obama. While I think this means I now have got political power, I am still a little bit unclear about how I got the attention of Tina Fey ó_Ò
p.s. for the people how don't know Tina Fey:
She's an actress on the US comedy show Saturday Night Live and really got attention when she impersonated Sarah Palin
