The folks at ipresentee have a whole bunch of free keynote objects available for download in a nice package.

The "Keynote Objects"; are actually tif images which could be used in Powerpoint/Impress/Wherever too.
The only thing you'd have to do is unpack the .dmg file. One way you could do this on windows: converting the dmg to iso

I like the idea of decentralizing my blog… I think as disqus specializes in comments only, they should be able to provide an experience better than the one a "simple"; blogging engine could provide. It also makes it easier to switch between systems without converting all the stuff.

It was a bit of template hacking to include all the stuff and to keep the old comments still readable (crappy hack on my part), but I think it worked out ok…

Test it! :D

Most of the students in Baden-Württemberg are sooner or later in the situation that they're trying to send an EMail while being in university. As Belwue has blocked outgoing SMTP requests on port 25 to keep spam down to a minimum.

What most people don't know: Many EMail Providers (e.g. gmail) allow the use of Port 587 (the "SMTP Submission port";)!

The difference?

Port 587 is for users to send out emails on.

Port 25 is for servers to relay messages to one another.

That way ISPs can block outgoing SMTP relays (–> mailservers) on their networks but still allow users to send email to any mail server through port 587.
